Counselor Support During Virtual Continuous Learning
Dear Parents,
We hope this email finds you all well and ready for the start of virtual continuous learning. Chris and I have been discussing the most effective ways to stay in touch with you during this time as we don't want to overwhelm you with emails. We are looking to try a couple of forums. Below please see these ideas:
- We will be holding office hours from 9-11 am and 1-3 pm each school day. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with questions, concerns, thoughts. We will be replying to emails and scheduling video chats/calls with parents and students for those times as needed.
- We will be providing counseling lessons once in every eight day cycle for your children accessible through their classroom teacher's communications. At the end of each of these lessons will be a video from us to you as parents with some tips for the week. Please bear with us on technical difficulties and as we determine the best approach to these videos.
- We will also be posting these videos/tips and other articles and information on our blog which can be accessed here. We recommend you bookmark this site so you can easily locate it.
- Finally, on the last slide of each counseling lesson we will be providing a quick google form survey to hear from you about challenges and successes. From this we will also be trying to have some live on-line chats - more information about this coming soon.
Thinking about you all and missing the faces of our students already. Looking forward to working with you in partnership through this time.
Sincerely,
Lynn and Chris
